Dozens of firearms have been taken off the street and their owners' licences revoked by NSW police in a blitz targeting organised crime links.
Specialist officers attached to Operation Pendula raided properties across the state on Wednesday, seizing 80 guns and some 30,000 rounds of ammunition.
Of 19 owners spoken to, nine had their licences revoked and five were suspended.
Two men from the Hunter Valley will face court charged with failing to keep firearms safely and possessing prohibited weapons.
Detective Superintendent Stuart Gordon from the State Crime Command's Raptor Squad said licence revocation was an additional tool police were using to target violence and organised crime.
"This operation is all about removing criminals' access to guns, whether lawfully held by other people or not," he said.
"Firearm regulation is an ongoing tactic in disrupting organised criminal networks and working with the NSW Firearms registry to revoke licences and seize guns from their associates is just another tool in our arsenal."
