Police seize drugs and uninsured vehicle in stop and search operation

Police in Belfast have made a number of arrests after seizing a large quantity of drugs.

The PSNI said the drug haul came after a "pro-active" stop and search operation on the Donegall Road.

Two people have been arrested for a 'range of offences' following the incident.

A police spokesperson posted on PSNI South Belfast social media page : "A pro-active police stop and search of an uninsured vehicle on Donegall Road led to two arrests for a range of offences.

"House searches were authorised in relation to these arrests and a quantity of drugs were located and seized along with the uninsured vehicle.
