Police seize dozens of suspected cannabis plants from houses on outskirts of Bristol

A 28 year-old man received a police caution after suspected cannabis plants were seized from a property in Long Ashton.

Police discovered 16 of the suspected plants from the address during a raid on Monday, January 25.

A dozen suspected cannabis plants were also seized from a property in Felton on Tuesday, January 26.

Inquiries are continuing.

A police spokesman said: “A 28-year-old man received a conditional caution following the discovery of approximately 16 suspected cannabis plants in Long Ashton on Monday 25 January.

“And approximately a dozen suspected cannabis plants were seized from an address in Felton on Tuesday 26 January.”

The finds were made by the Nailsea Neighbourhood Policing team.

Police say the discovery of the plants was down to information from the community.

Pictures of the suspected plants seized were posted on the Portishead, Clevedon and Nailsea Neighbourhood Policing Team Facebook page.

A post on the page said: “A massive well done to the Nailsea Neighbourhood team after closing down two cannabis grows in the last couple of days.
