Police seize dog that attacked three-year-old girl's face

Officers investigating a report of a three-year-old girl being bitten on the face by a dog have seized a dog in connection with the incident.

Officers were called to the Enderby Square/Woodside Road area in Lenton Abbey, shortly after 3.30pm on Tuesday, May 19.

The girl was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre where she remains.

No arrests have been made yet.

Detective Sergeant Laura Clarke, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "I’d like to thank the public for sharing this appeal and for the information that has been passed to us as a result.

"We are now making progress with our enquiry and have seized a dog in connection with the report.

"The three-year-old girl that was bitten remains in hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening."
