Cannabis plants with a street value of £50,000 were found during a police raid in Failsworth.

Officers smashed their way into the home on Grafton Street after complaints from members of the public.

They discovered 100 plants growing in two first floor bedrooms, a post on Facebook said.

A status, on the GMP Failsworth and Hollinwood page, said: "Local Neighbourhood officers acting on information received from local residents attended at an address on Grafton Street, Failsworth where they discovered 100 Cannabis plants with an estimated yield value of £50,000 being grown in two first floor bedrooms."

They also posted photos of the plants in large brown paper bags following the raid.
