Police seize £780,000 worth of cannabis in Anderston flat raid

Drugs with an estimated street value of £780,000 have been seized by officers in the Anderston area today.

Police made the raid on the Argyle Street flat at around 9am this morning and recovered the drugs, which are believed to be herbal cannabis.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the find.  He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff court on Monday. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Man's body found in Dumbarton home

Detective Inspector Stevie Elliot, the officer leading the investigation, said: "Impacting the supply and ridding the streets of controlled drugs requires a detailed and often complex police investigation.

"However, we are determined to disrupt and pursue those involved in this type of criminal activity."
