More than 200 kilos of suspected drugs were seized during a police raid in Tameside.
Officers found the huge haul of what is believed to be cannabis resin during an early morning search warrant carried out at an address in Stalybridge on Wednesday.
It was one of a number of raids carried out in West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester as part of what officers say has been "a protracted drug and money laundering investigation."
A large amount of cash, around £100,000, was also recovered during a raid in West Yorkshire.
Five men, including four from Greater Manchester, have been arrested.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Officers from the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit supported by colleagues from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have conducted a series of search warrants in the West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester areas this morning (14 th July, 2021) in relation to a protracted drug and money laundering investigation.
"These searches have resulted in the recovery of a number of items including approximately 200 kilos of suspected cannabis resin from an address in Stalybridge and a significant quantity of cash, approximately £100,000, from an address in West Yorkshire.
"As a result, one man from West Yorkshire and four men from Greater Manchester have been arrested for drug trafficking and money laundering offences.
"All remain in police custody at this time."
