The search for missing midwife Elaine McArthur continues today, with police combing the Granton shoreline.
The Edinburgh midwife has been missing since April 18th.
Edinburgh Live understands that the police activity on Lower Granton Road is related to the high profile search for the missing mother.
Yesterday the son of missing Elaine McArthur issued an emotional appeal for help to trace her after she disappeared five days ago, as police issued a new video appeal.
He said: "If I could say anything to my mum it's just how much we miss her as a family and individually, and how much love we've received saying what an incredible person she is," he said.

The mum of two was last spotted on CCTV walking along Crew Road North at 12.40pm.
She was wearing a khaki green waterproof jacket, blue jeans, green trainers and was carrying a green rucksack.
Yesterday, Chief Inspector David Happs, Local Area Commander for North West Edinburgh, said: “Our officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage and using the Air Support Unit in our efforts to trace Elaine.
Police confirmed to Edinburgh Live today that police activity in Granton is related to the search.
