Chicago police have released a photo of a car from a hit-and-run in January that killed an elderly man in Austin on the West Side.
Andrew Wells, 75, was crossing the street in the 1100 block of North Laramie Avenue about 1:05 p.m. Jan. 11 when he was hit by the driver who lost control of a red Ford Focus after hitting another vehicle, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Wells was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
Police believe the driver was a woman between the 20 and 25 years old.
