Police seeking this man after a robbery at East Maitland service station

Police have released CCTV images from the moment a 28 year-old employee of an East Maitland service station was threatened with a tomahawk during an early morning robbery this year.

The man demanded cash before fleeing the scene on foot, he was last seen headed west on High Street.

Detectives have released images of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries as investigations continue.

He's described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, approximately 170cm to 175cm tall, of average build with a light brown patchy/stubble beard.

He was wearing a black hooded jumper with a green jacket over the top, a black baseball cap, black tracksuit pants and black running shoes.

Anyone with information which may assist detectives is urged to contact Maitland Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
