Police are asking the community for help finding a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run earlier this week in Bucktown on the North Side.

About 2:55 a.m. Sunday, an unknown vehicle eastbound in the 2000 block of West Armitage Avenue struck a 27-year-old man, Chicago police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Stroger Hospital with “life threatening” injuries including a broken bone, lacerations and abrasions, police said. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to help or exchange information.

No one is in custody as detectives continue to investigate, police said.

Anyone with information should call the CPD Major Accidents Investigation Unit at 312-745-4521.
