Police seek witness after driver allegedly tailgated victim, threw object damaging car windshield

Police are searching for a driver who allegedly threw an object damaging another car's windscreen and then sped away from the scene.

ACT Policing said the alleged victim was stopped at traffic lights heading west at the Horse Park Drive and Federal Highway intersection about 9.50pm last Tuesday when a Toyota Hilux came up behind them.

The Toyota allegedly started to tailgate the victim who attempted to change lanes as the lights turned green.

The Toyota driver then sped past the victim, threw something at the car's windscreen, damaging it, and drove away, police said.

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam footage that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
