Police seek victims of alleged serial attacker of women in west London

Detectives in Hayes are urgently seeking victims of a series of violent assaults on women following the arrest of a suspect.

The attacks began on August 11 on Delamere Road, with a woman slapped and nearly robbed.

The following night, a mother was pushed over, with the assailant attempting to approach her child.

CCTV footage captured another woman being knocked down on August 13. On August 17, an elderly woman was pushed over at the Uxbridge Road junction.

DC Katherine Ellis-Cramp, leading the investigation, said: "These assaults are spontaneous, violent and target women walking on the street in the evening.

"While we have received four reports of incidents witnessed by members of the public, the victims themselves have not come forward and may need support."

Ellis-Cramp added: "The impact of being a victim of assault should not be underestimated.

"If you know, or indeed are, one of the victims in this sequence of offences, or a victim of any similar assault in the Delamere Road, Hayes area, please don't hesitate to get in touch - at the very least so that we can give you some support and check that you are okay."

A 19-year-old man was arrested on August 20 and released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police urge anyone with information to call 101 or contact @MetCC on social media, quoting CAD 7027/17AUG.
