
Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying the person who robbed a bank Thursday in Gary, Indiana.
About 3 p.m., the male suspect walked into the People’s Bank, 1801 W. 25th St., and handed the teller a note demanding money and implying that he had a weapon, according to a statement from Gary police.
The teller handed over cash from a drawer and the robber ran out the front door, police said. He was about 5-foot-3, carried a camouflage book bag and wore a camouflage bubble coat, a camouflage Chicago Bulls baseball cap, black pants and white shoes.
