Police seek information following motorcyclist death

ACT Policing is interested in speaking to motorists who were on Paddy's River Road last Sunday as the investigation into a motorcyclist's death continues.

The body of 21-year-old motorcyclist, Alex Coppinger, was found adjacent to Paddy's River Road on January 18.

Police have urged motorists who drove on Paddy's River Road between 12pm and 2pm on Sunday, January 17 to come forward to assist with their investigation of Alex Coppinger's death.

ACT Policing reviewed CCTV footage from a nearby premises which captured the motorcyclist shortly before the collision.

At this stage ACT Policing does not believe another vehicle was involved in the fatal collision.

ACT Policing are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a red 1950s-era sports car seen in the area.

This driver is not suspected of any involvement in the incident but police believe they may be able to provide information on the crash to police.

However CCTV footage found other vehicles were on the road before and after the incident who may have information about the death of Mr Coppinger.

Mr Coppinger was the first person to die on ACT's roads in 2021.
