Police are appealing for information after a Cambuslang youngster was allegedly approached by a man last night.
The six-year-old schoolgirl was believed to be targeted at around 7.55pm last night in Beaton Walk .
It is claimed the man tried to walk away with the child who began kicking and screaming.
The youngster managed to get away.
Police are now carrying out inquiries in a bid to find the man responsible.
A police spokesman said: "About 7.55 pm on Wednesday, September 25, a six-year-old girl was reported being approached by a man in Beaton Walk in Cambuslang.
"An investigation is ongoing and officers are reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out door to door inquiries in the area.
"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101."
