Police searching river for missing Leeds man

Police are scouring the River Aire as part of a search for a missing Leeds man.

Finley Jones, 21, was last seen in Leeds city centre on Saturday, July 4 and there are concerns about his welfare.

West Yorkshire Police say officers are searching the river as CCTV footage shows a man entering it near Crown Point Bridge at around 6.30am on Saturday morning.

Finley has been described as a slim white man, who is around 6ft 3ins tall, with blond hair. He was last seen wearing dark jeans and a blue jumper.

A police spokesman said: "Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who has seen Finley at any point since he went missing or who has any information that could assist their enquiries."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting log 587 of July 4 or online via  www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat
