Police have confirmed that a woman who went missing from a house in South Shields has been found safe and well.

Tamla Davidson was reported missing after last being seen on Friday morning leaving an address in the Sutton Way area of the town.

The 33-year-old was in the company of a Jack Russell puppy at the time, police said.

Concern was growing for Tamla and police appealed for help from the public to track her down.

On Tuesday, officers confirmed she had been found.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Tamla has been found safe and well."
