Police in West Lothian are now focusing their inquiry to trace missing man Stephen Wardrop on the Bathgate area.
The 47-year-old was last seen at around 1pm on Sunday, May 19, at Sainsbury’s in Almondvale Retail Park, Livingston.
A missing person investigation has been underway, as officers look to locate Stephen.
He is described as being around five feet seven tall with a medium build and was last seen wearing dark trousers, dark shoes, a khaki waist length fabric jacket and blue baseball cap.
It is believed Stephen was travelling in his blue Nissan Micra, with registration number SL52 VAJ. At around 1am on Tuesday, June 11, officers in Bathgate found this vehicle in the car park of Tesco near Wester Inch.
Police also received notification of a potential sighting of Stephen at the Bathgate Procession on Saturday, June 1, and search activity will now be increased throughout the town.
Chief Inspector Alun Williams, local area commander for West Lothian said: “The public support for our investigation to trace Stephen has been really encouraging and the potential sighting, coupled with the recovery of his car in Bathgate helps us focus the inquiry on this area.
" I would ask anyone who believes they have seen Stephen, or knows his current whereabouts, to contact police immediately.
"Likewise, I would also urge Stephen to get in touch with ourselves, or with family or friends to confirm he is safe.”
