Police searching for missing Leeds man find body at golf club

Police searching for a missing Leeds man have found a body at a golf club in Armley.

Dewi Turton, 20, was last seen at around 5am on Tuesday May 19 near to the Kirkstall Brewery student residences in Kirkstall.

West Yorkshire Police were concerned for his welfare and launched an appeal to trace him.

At 6pm on Tuesday officers found the body of a man, believed to be that of Mr Turton, at Gotts Park Golf Club in Armley.

A police spokesperson said: "Formal identification is yet to be completed but it is believed to the missing 20-year-old.

"There were no suspicious circumstances and his family have been informed."
