Police searching for a missing Lanark man have found a body.
Officers can confirm that the body of a man was found at Mouse Water, Cartland Craigs, Lanark at 11.30am on Wednesday, March 4.
The man is still to be formally identified but the family of Maurice Benyon – who had been reported missing on Wednesday, January 29 – have been informed.
Officers say the death is being treated as unexplained, however there are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
