Police searching for missing Airdrie man

POLICE are appealing for the public's help to trace a missing Airdrie man.

Richard Wilson, 30, left an address in the town's Drumgelloch Street at around 10.15pm on Saturday before, it is believed, he called a taxi and was dropped off at Station Road in Shotts ar 1045pm.

Richard is 5ft 7inches talll, has short brown hair, is of medium build and has blue eyes.

When he was last seen he was wearing a silver and white tracksuit and white trainers.

Richard hasn't been in contact with his family since his disappearance, which is out of character, and has links to the Airdrie and Shotts communities.

Inspector Higgins of Airdrie police office said: "I encourage Richard, or anyone who has information to assist this missing person investigation, to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3675 of August 23, or email LanarkshireMissingPersons@scotland.pnn.police.uk."
