Missing 72-year-old man who has Alzheimer's found safe and well

A missing pensioner who was last seen in a Northumberland town centre has been found safe and well.

Henry Warne, who has Alzheimer's, was last seen in Morpeth town centre at around 9am on Tuesday morning after leaving his home in Fulbeck.

Family and police officers were concerned for the 72-year-old's welfare and issued an appeal to help trace him.

Northumbria Police has now confirmed Henry has been found.

The force tweeted: "Good news in the search for missing Morpeth man Henry Warne.

"He has been found safe and well this evening. Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal."
