Police searching for missing 13-year-old girl who hasn't been seen for five days

A teenage girl has been missing from her home for five days.

Police are searching for Kimberley Henry, who turned 13 on Thursday, after she was last seen leaving her address in Newcastle on Saturday.

Kimberley left the home in Wellesley Terrace in the Arthur's Hill area at around 10pm.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for welfare and are now appealing to the public for help.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Kimberley is described as white, around 5ft 4, slim build with long brown hair and was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a navy T shirt, a dark hoody and was wrapped in a purple blanket.

"Anyone who sees Kimberley, or knows her whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 quoting 1383 130719."
