Police searching for man who exposed himself to couple in County Durham

An investigation is under way after a couple were flashed in County Durham.

Police are searching for the man who is said to have exposed himself twice while the couple were out walking in Brandon.

It was reported that at around 3.30pm on May 7, the victims were walking along the old railway lines near to the Brawns Den Pub when a man approached them.

Officers say the suspect was swearing and talking to himself as he walked along the line and pulled down his trousers and exposed his buttocks at them twice before walking off in the direction of Brancepeth.

They are now trying to find the man responsible.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "The man is described as white, around 6ft tall and with bleached blonde hair. He is believed to be around 30 years old.

"If you have any information, call 101 quoting incident reference number 248 of May 7 or email PC Robert Simpson at robert.simpson1@durham.pnn.police.uk."
