The male has then tried to enter the address with a set of keys left inside the parked car.

An investigation has been launched into the incident and as part of their extensive enquiries, police have now identified a man that they would like to speak to.

He was in the area at the time of the incident and could have information that can assist officers with their enquiries.

Northumbria Police spokesperson urged anyone with information that could help with their enquiries to come forward.

They said: "The man, or anyone who recognises him, are asked to contact police via the ‘Tell us something’ section of the website quoting ref NP-20210920-1131."
