Police searching for car after vicious double assault in Elgin

Police are hunting two suspects following a vicious double assault in Elgin.

Two victims - aged 21 and 25 - were attacked in a house in Lesmurdie Road after opening the door to two men.

The attackers made off in a silver Vauxhall Zafira following the incident early on Saturday morning.

They were wearing cammo jackets and both of a slim build and drove in the direction of Lossiemouth Road.

Officers are asking other drivers who may have been in the area at the time to check their dashcam footage for evidence.

Detective Constable Steve Borzoni said:  “I am appealing to any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who has information on the two men responsible to contact us.

“I am keen to identify the vehicle involved and would urge any drivers who were travelling on Lesmurdie Road, Pringle Road, Fulmer Road, Lossiemouth Road, or between Elgin and Lossiemouth early on Saturday morning, who has dash-cam footage to contact Elgin Police Station through 101 quoting reference 0136 of 14 November.”

Crimestoppers can also be contacted on 0800 555 111.
