Police Scotland have confirmed in a tweet that they are currently in attendance at an ongoing incident at East Main Industrial Estate in Broxburn, West Lothian .
According to reports on Facebook police were stopping and searching cars in the Broxburn Industrial Estate as recent as 6pm this evening with one social media user commenting: "all cars getting searched in Broxburn Industrial Estate."
Another commented: "Don't expect to get home quick - police are stopping cars out of the industrial estate."
Police Scotland have not yet confirmed this detail.
Reports came in at approximately 2.55pm this afternoon to West Lothian Police of a woman having been assaulted at the estate.
Police remain on the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
