Police search through Edinburgh gardens before arresting man

Edinburgh police arrested a young man after combing gardens in Clermiston.

Neighbours noticed a police presence in the early hours of Tuesday morning, May 3.

Police confirmed to Edinburgh Live they had arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with 'road traffic offences'.

One local confirmed they say police checking gardens and 'scanning the area'

A witness saw the officers patrolling Clermiston Place in the middle of the night seemingly looking for someone.

He said “I saw the police searching gardens around 1.30 to 2am this morning while walking my dog.”

Police Scotland said: "A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences in Clermiston Crescent, Edinburgh in the early hours of Tuesday, 3 May, 2022. Enquiries are ongoing."
