Police search River Clyde after missing Emily Hope's belongings found

Police have recovered personal items belonging to a Glasgow woman who went missing after leaving a city nightclub.

Specialist teams have been drafted in to search the River Clyde after CCTV showed Emily Hope near the Tradeston Bridge after leaving Mango on in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 22-year-old's belongings were recovered next to the river.

Inspector Gavin Smith from Partick police station explained: "Officers, assisted by specialist search teams including the marine unit will continue to search that area for Emily.

"I would ask anyone who has seen Emily in Glasgow city centre or the Tradeston area to contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 1448 of February 22."

Emily, who lives in Jordanhill, left the nightclub on Sauchiehall Street alone at 2am yesterday morning.

She is described as white, around 5 ft 3ins tall, slim, wears glasses and has shoulder-length brown hair.

When she was last seen she was wearing a red jacket, a black and white top, grey trousers and red shoes.
