Investigation launched after car crashes into metal barrier in Bishop Auckland

Police are investigating a collision in Bishop Auckland where a car crashed into a metal barrier.

Officers said that that a silver/ grey Fiat Punto left the carriageway and collided with a barrier at the Asda roundabout just before 8.40pm on Sunday, October 31.

It is believed that the car was driving from the Woodhouse Lane area of Bishop Auckland.

Now Durham police are appealing for anyone who had witnessed the crash, or saw the vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision, to contact officers investigating the incident.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who recorded dashcam footage from the moments leading up to the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt James Woodcock at Bishop Auckland Police on 101, quoting incident number 0461 of October 31.
