Police search for 'vulnerable' pensioner lost at Milliken Park train station

Police have launched a search for a 'vulnerable' pensioner who appeared to be lost at Milliken Park train station.

The man, described as being between 65 and 75 years old, was last seen yesterday evening in the Magnus Road area of Houston.

Police believe he was earlier at Milliken Park station asking for directions for Houston.

Officers are appealing for help in the search and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

The Renfrewshire Police Division advised: "We are requesting the assistance of the public to trace a vulnerable man who was last seen in the Magnus Road area of Houston this evening at approximately 7pm.

"The man is described as being an elderly, white, aged 65 to 75 years with white hair. He is described as being of slim build and approximately 5'9" in height and was wearing a blue disposable face mask.

"We believe this may be the same man who was seen earlier on today near to Milliken Park train station and who was asking for directions to get to Houston. At this time the man was described as wearing a black puffa jacket with a zip that looked broken, in his mid 70's, and wearing light blue denims with the bottoms turned up and an NHS blue face mask. He was described at that time as grey and balding.

"Bus drivers and taxi drivers are asked to keep an eye out for the man who may be using public transport and in possession of a bus pass.

"Anyone who has any information is asked to contact police via 101 and quote incident number 2867 of the 1 February."
