UPDATE:
A TEENAGER reported missing from the Hunter has been located safe and well.
Officers from Newcastle City Police District were notified when a 15-year-old boy left John Hunter Hospital on Monday.
The teen has been located at a Sydney hospital overnight.
Police would like to thank the media and community for their assistance.
EARLIER REPORT:
Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a missing teenager from the Hunter.
The boy, aged 15, was last seen at about 9.30am on Monday after he left John Hunter Hospital in New Lambton Heights.
Officers from Newcastle City Police District were contacted shortly after and have commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and his family hold grave concerns for his welfare.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, with a thin build and shoulder length brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, light denim jeans and was barefoot.
He is known to have connections with Muswellbrook and Sydney and may have travelled to either of these locations.
Anyone with information about Andrei's whereabouts is urged to contact police.
