Police search for missing woman Puikap Tabuai

Police are searching for a missing Canberra woman who has not been seen since the early hours of Sunday morning.

Puikap Tabuai, 66, was last seen leaving her daughter's house in Banks about 6.30am.

Police have described her as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, about 160 centimetres tall with a medium build and black/grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a blue jumper, charcoal tracksuit pants with a yellow stripe down the side and a grey beanie.

Puikap's family and police have said they hold concerns for her welfare and are appealing for help from the public.

Anyone with information on Puikap's whereabouts has been urged to contact ACT police on 131 444, using reference number 6619506.
