Police have launched a fresh appeal for information on sightings of a missing pensioner who disappeared from Bellshill five days ago.
Edward McDonald, 75, was last seen on Carnbroe Road in the North Lanarkshire town at around 10am last Monday, November 29.
Officers believe there may have been other sightings on Tuesday and Wednesday on a cycle path near to the close by street of Carrick Place.
Edward is described as 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short grey and white hair and a beard.
His family are said to be "extremely concerned" about his disappearance, which they say is out of character for the pensioner.
They are also worried that he may not have regular medication with him.
He was wearing a black jacket, dark khaki fleece, dark trousers, dark shoes and a khaki skip or baseball cap.
Appeals have been issued by both the North Lanarkshire and Greater Glasgow policing divisions in an attempt to trace Edward's last movements, as he is known to frequent Glasgow city centre.
Police have asked anyone who may have been driving in the area since Monday to review dashcam footage on the off-chance they may have captured him on camera.
Police Constable Emma Smith from Motherwell Police Office said: "Edward’s family has not had contact with him since Monday, which is unusual, and they are extremely concerned for him.
"We are asking people who were driving in the Shirrel/Hattonrigg area of Bellshill to review dashcam footage from Monday 29 November onward, for any possible sightings of Edward.
"We also ask anyone who has seen Edward since Monday, or if Edward himself is reading this, please contact us via 101 quoting incident reference number 3014 of 2 December 21."
