Missing Gateshead woman Lorna Brady found safe and well

Missing Gateshead woman Lorna Brady has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.

Lorna, 55, was reported missing after last being seen at around 9.30pm yesterday (Saturday) at an address in the area of Gateshead Metro Station.

Police were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and asked the public to come forward if they had any information.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police confirmed she had been found saying: "We are pleased to update that missing Gateshead woman Lorna Brady has been found safe and well.

"A big thanks to everyone who shared the appeal, as well as the officers who led the search and 18 Mountain Rescue volunteers who assisted."
