Police search for missing Falkirk man who vanished in red Renault car

Concerns are growing for the welfare of a man last seen in Falkirk in the early hours of this morning.

Matthew Hume has not been seen since he left his home in the Dunkeld Place area of the town.

The 50-year-old left the property in a red Renault Clio car - registration HY60 XZT - and has since vanished.

He is described as being 5ft 7in tall and of medium build with short reddish hair, which is balding on top, and red beard.

Hume speaks with a Scottish accent and wears glasses.

Officers have reason to be concerned for Matthew's welfare and urgently ask anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.

Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 0775 of 17 February.
