Police search for missing boy, 8, and mum who failed to board plane at Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Police are appealing for help to find a missing eight-year-old boy and his mum after they both failed to board a flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The appeal says that schoolboy Andrei Stoian and his mum, Georgeta, were due to take a flight from the airport in May earlier this year but did not show.

Reports suggest that the mother and son could now be in Dublin, Ireland.

Merseyside Police describe the young boy as slim build, with olive skin, black hair of medium length with a straight fringe.

They have today put out an appeal to find the missing boy and his mum.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We are appealing for help in finding an eight-year-old child from Wirral who is believed to be missing with his mother.

"Andrei Stoian was due to take a flight with his mother Georgeta in May from Liverpool John Lennon Airport but they did not board.

"Andrei and Georgeta live in Harrowby Road, Tranmere but information suggests they may now be in Dublin, Ireland."

Anyone with information is urged to contact @MerPolCC, call 101 or Missing People on 116 000.
