Concern is growing for a missing Aberdeenshire man who vanished without his regular medication.

The 62-year-old disappeared from the harbour town’s Gordon Crescent at about 4.55am.

John is believed to be on foot and could still be in the Portsoy area or may have travelled to nearby towns using a bus pass.

He is described as around 5 ft 5 ins tall with grey, short cropped hair and a moustache.

He wears glasses and has a tattoo of a dream catcher on his left forearm. He is believed to be wearing a blue jumper, blue jeans and black shoes.

Constable Kate Bain said: "John requires regular medication and so it is crucial that we trace him to ensure his wellbeing and safety.

“Anyone who may have seen John or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0496 of 20 January.”
