Police search for man missing from Scots town who may have travelled to Aberdeen

Police have issued an urgent plea to try and trace a man reported missing from the north east of Scotland.

It is thought Brechin man Gordon McKay may have travelled to the Aberdeen area.

The 49-year-old was last seen near the Tesco fuel station in the Angus town's Clerk Street, around 3.15pm on Monday.

Police said Mr McKay is believed to have access to a black BMW one series car, and may have travelled to Aberdeen.

He is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall and of muscular build with shaved brown hair. He has a 'tribal' tattoo on his right shoulder.

He was wearing a black Nike top, black jogger bottoms, black trainers and a black baseball cap when last seen.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3178 of April 17.
