Police officers are searching for a man after an assault in Abercarn.
Gwent Police received a report of a "disturbance" in an unnamed road near Gwyddon Road, Abercarn, at about 5pm on Saturday afternoon.
A spokesperson said one male victim was punched in the head which resulted in facial injuries.
Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as he may be able to assist officers with their enquires. He was seen in the area at the time the assault occurred.
The force said enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: "We’re appealing for information after receiving a report of an assault in Abercarn at around 5pm on Saturday, March 20.
"A man reportedly punched the victim in the head, resulting in facial injuries, following a disturbance in an unnamed road near Gwyddon Road.
"Officers would like to speak to this man who was seen in the area at the time of the assault and may be able to assist officers with their enquiries."
Anyone with information which could assist the investigation, or who possess CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident, is asked to contact Gwent Police.
