Police search for gang of children who abused customers at Indian restaurant

Police are searching for children as young as 10 who are said to have abused customers at an Indian restaurant.

The incident happened in the Cheshire village of Stockton Heath on Monday night.

Staff at the Eastern Revive restaurant were verbally abused after the children began banging on the restaurant's windows.

The restaurant staff called Cheshire Police and when officers arrived, the group ran off.

Writing on Facebook, officers said there were "approximately 10 youths banging on the windows of the Eastern Revive restaurant in Stockton Heath and verbally abusing staff and customers.

"Staff called the Police and the youths ran off on arrival."

Stockton Heath Police said: "The lads were described as being aged 10-15 all dressed in black, except one who had on a distinctive blue Berghaus-style jacket, grey pants, grey shoes and a black hat.

"Bit of a long shot but if anybody reading this thinks that any of the group belongs to them then have a word! This type of behaviour is not acceptable."

The restaurant was not available for comment.

Cheshire Police has been contacted by the M.E.N for comment.
