Police search for elderly man who left his home at 4am and hasn't been seen since

Update: Merseyside Police announced that Mr Cragg was found safe and well on the evening of July 8, 2020.

An elderly man left his home in the early hours of the morning and has not been seen since.

Bernard Cragg is believed to have left his home in St Helens at around 4am but no one has heard from him.

The 72-year-old was spotted at his house on Melville Close, in Eccleston, but it is not yet clear where he was going.

Police are becoming increasingly concern about Bernard and are keen for the public to contact them with any information that could help locate him.

Officers have issued a description of Bernard along with details of what he was wearing when he was last seen.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Please share. We're urgently looking to find missing man Bernard Cragg from St Helens.

"Bernard, 72, was last seen at 4am this morning at his home address in Melville Close, Eccleston

"Bernard is white, 72, 5ft 7in tall, slim, with a tanned complexion, short white hair and glasses.

"He was wearing navy blue chino trousers, blue polo shirt, blue jumper with horizontal brown stripes, and black trainers.

"He walks around Eccleston, Taylor Park, Rainford, Carr Mill Dam, Alexandra Drive, and The Dream and extensive enquiries are ongoing to find him."
