Police search for Bristol man, 78, who went missing from his home

A 78-year-old man has gone missing from his home in St Anne's and police have launched a missing persons appeal.

Fred Parsons was last seen in his home at 9:30pm yesterday (August 19) where he said he was going to bed.

He was then reported missing to the police at 11:50pm.

Supported by the National Police Air Service helicopter, police carried out extensive searches of the area overnight.

Fred is white, 6ft tall, of medium build with grey hair and glasses. He was wearing a blue jumper with a large hole in the sleeve and black trousers when he went missing.

Police say he has left his home without his phone or medication and may appear confused.

Fred may be found on a bus, bus stop or be around the Broadmead area of Bristol.
