Police search for Bolton man who has been missing for nearly 24 hours

Police are searching for a man from Bolton who has been missing for nearly 24 hours.

Trevor Brown has last seen leaving his home in Little Lever yesterday (Tuesday) at around 11am.

The 69-year-old was expected to head to his allotment but his not been seen by family or friends since.

Officers from GMP's Bolton South team have put out appeals on social media and asked that anyone who has seen Trevor gets in touch with the police.

They have also included a picture, although they warn it is an old photo and he is now clean shaven.

In a statement posted on Facebook, an officer said: "Trevor Brown, 69 years old, is currently missing from the Great Lever area of Bolton.

"He was last seen at his home address by family around 11am, and was expected to visit his allotment around noon but hasn't been seen.

"He is described as white, 6ft tall, bald on top with silver curly hair at the sides. Large build, wearing a high visibility jacket and a dark green or black beanie hat."

Anyone with information on where Trevor might be is asked to contact police on 101.
