Police search drains for drugs as officers burst through house door

Police searched drains to make sure drugs had not been flushed down them during a raid.

Cash and drugs were seized by officers when they executed a warrant in the Aintree area this morning.

As officers burst through the front door, others checked drains to make sure drugs had not been flushed away.

Police posted photographs on social media which showed the aftermath of the raid. The police showed a large amount of bank notes and suspected drugs. A front door appeared to have been taken off its hinges.

Police have not yet disclosed exactly where the raid took place.

"Drugs and cash were seized from the location. We won't tolerate drug dealing - let us know where it is."

Anyone with information about drug and crime can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
