Missing Adelaide man found, dog still missing

Missing man John Adderley walks out with rescue crews after a night lost in the Onkapringa Valley National Park.

A man missing overnight in bushland in Adelaide's southern suburbs has been found.

Police and State Emergency Service crews resumed their search for John Adderley this morning after the 75-year-old, who has dementia, went missing with his dog — a black and white kelpie in the Onkaparinga River National Park yesterday afternoon.

Search crews were able to locate Mr Adderley through a GPS on his phone and found him just after 10:00am.

His dog is still missing.

In June, another man with dementia, 54-year-old Roger Jacobs, went missing while walking his dog in the southern suburbs.

He was found dead 13 days later in Sturt Gorge Recreation Park.

There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
