Police search after card used to buy alcohol and cigarettes thought to be 'stolen or cloned'

Police have issued a CCTV image of three men they want in connection with an allegation of fraud.

The three used what police said they believe to be a stolen or cloned bank card when they went into a convenience store in Weston-super-Mare.

The trio paid for a large quantity of alcohol and cigarettes at the store in Milton Road, Weston, on the evening of August 27, the day after August Bank Holiday Monday.

“We are appealing for help to contact these three men,” said a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police.

“They are believed to have used a card - which may have been stolen or cloned - to pay for goods in Weston-super-Mare.

“We are treating the incident as fraud and are keen for the three men, or anyone recognising them, to contact us. Anyone able to help is asked to contact us, quoting reference 5219198243,” he added.
