Police have shut off an area near a block of flats after reports a body has been found.
Eyewitnesses have told the Manchester Evening News that police have been at the scene on Bowdon Street on Thursday evening (January 28).
Police tape and a forensic tent have been put in place and the area has been sealed off. Pictures show a large tent covering a portion of the street.
One eyewitness told the M.E.N. that police have been at the scene for 'hours' with photos showing a 'body bag in the road'.
The Manchester Evening News has approached Greater Manchester Police for comment.
