A man's body has been discovered by police in a park in Stockport.
Officers were called to Woodbank Park in Offerton on Wednesday (February 3) to reports that a body had been found nearby.
Emergency services were called to the scene where the man was sadly pronounced dead.
His age has not been confirmed and no further identification details have been released.
Local residents reported seeing police seal off a section of the park at around 2.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
One eye witness described several police cars, two ambulances and paramedic cars parked at the scene.
Police say they do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.
A report is currently being prepared for the coroner, they said.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "At around 2.45pm yesterday (3 February 2021), officers were called to a report of a body found near Woodbank Park in Offerton, Stockport.
"Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances and a report is being prepared for the Coroner."
